Before proceeding:
In case you have not installed the adapter or its drivers before, please visit this article for new driver installation.
Out-of-date drivers for the BTD400 can cause issues with Bluetooth under Windows 10. The steps below can be used to remove old drivers and allow Windows 10 to automaticalyl download and install the latest version.

Be sure the USB adapter is plugged into the usb port on your laptop or computer.

Uninstall the BTD-300/BTD-400 driver from the Device Manager.
a. Hold down the Windows key, then press the X key. Select Device Manager.
b. Under the Device Manager, locate Bluetooth Radios > BCM2070 or BCM20702
c. Right click the device, and select Properties
d. Navigate to the Driver tab, and click the Uninstall button. (Be sure to check the box so the driver can be deleted from the computer)
e. Hit OK and close out of the windows when it is complete.

Unplug the BTD-400

Uninstall all WIDCOMM and Bluetooth related software
a. Hold down the Windows key, then press the X key. Select Device Manager.
b. Under the Device Manager, locate Bluetooth Radios >(delete all Bluetooth drivers)
c. Right click the device, and select Properties
d. Navigate to the Driver tab, and click the Uninstall button. (Be sure to check the box so the driver can be deleted from the computer)
e. Hit OK and close out of the windows when it is complete.

Restart your computer

Plug the BTD-400 into the computer. The drivers should install automatically. You can now add devices by right clicking on the Bluetooth symbol on the toolbar and selecting Add a Bluetooth Device.
