The 360BNT/560BNT is capable of playing ARC audio through its Toslink port.
Notes:
- The 3.5mm analog audio output DOES NOT support ARC audio, and will be silent when ARC audio is being used.
- Your TV remote control will not change the volume of ARC audio. Volume will need to be controlled at the playback device - your soundbar or home theater system.
- Toslink supports uncompressed stereo PCM audio and compressed 5.1 or 7.1 audio. TV or source-device settings may need to be adjusted to ensure a compatible signal is passed over the ARC port.
SETUP
- Connect an HDMI cable to the HDMI Output port of the 360BNT/560BNT.
- Connect the other end of the HDMI cable to the ARC port of your TV.
- a) [Toslink] For Toslink audio, connect a Toslink cable to the Toslink output of the 560BNT, and connect the other end to your receiving device, like home theater receivers, soundbars, and headset transmitters.
b) [Analog] For stereo analog audio, connect one end of a 3.5mm audio cable to the 3.5mm port of the 560BNT, then connect the other end to your audio receiving device, like home theater receivers, headset transmitters, or wired speakers or headsets.
Troubleshooting
No Audio from ARC
- ARC disabled: Make sure ARC is enabled on the switch (using the ARC button) and on your TV (in the TV’s settings).
- Try removing any devices connected to the 3.5mm analog audio port and using the only the Toslink port for ARC audio output.
- Audio Format: The receiver (soundbar, speaker, etc.) may not support the audio format provided by the TV. Try setting the TV to PCM or LPCM audio output. If PCM works, try other formats until you find the best working format.
- CEC Required: ARC audio requires CEC. If CEC is disabled, either in the TV’s settings or by using a CEC blocking adapter, re-enable CEC and test ARC audio again.
